Walk-in customers, without the paper list

Drop-in karting check-in and queue system

Customers scan a QR code, put themselves in the queue and see where they stand. Staff fill each heat to the number of karts actually available, merge small groups and start the session from a phone at trackside.

How the drop-in flow works

QR check-in

One code at the counter puts customers in the queue with their name, so nobody has to be written down by hand.

Queue position and check-in time

Staff see who arrived when and in what order, which makes the answer to 'how long is the wait?' an easy one.

Merge groups into full heats

Combine a group of four and a group of six into one heat of ten when the karts are there for it.

Capped by working karts

Taking a kart out of service lowers the maximum group size straight away, with the option of splitting the group instead.

Started from a phone

A staff QR opens a stripped-down control page: start, stop, remaining time and lap times, and nothing else.

Results everywhere

Times land on the TV board, in the driver QR page and in the track records list as soon as the heat is over.

Getting started

  1. 1. Print the QR codes. One for customers to check in, one for staff to run the heat.
  2. 2. Set your kart fleet. Rental karts and their service status decide how many can be in one heat.
  3. 3. Run the queue. Fill heats from the queue, merge groups when it fits and start from a phone.

Common questions about drop-in karting

How do walk-in customers join the queue?

They scan a QR code at the counter or on the wall, enter their name and are placed in the queue with their position and the time they checked in.

Can two small bookings share one heat?

Yes. If one group has four people and another has six and you have ten karts free, staff can merge them into a single heat instead of running two half-empty sessions.

What stops a queue from being bigger than the kart fleet?

The number of karts available for rental sets the cap on a group. If a kart is taken out of service, the limit drops and staff are offered the option of splitting the group across several heats.

Do staff need a computer to run a drop-in heat?

No. A staff QR code opens a simple page on a phone with start, stop, remaining time and live lap times — nothing else to press by mistake.

Can a session be more than one run?

Yes. Booking products can cover several runs, and a multi-run product takes the matching number of queue slots at check-in.
